"During the month of September, I am participating in a stationary bicycle program to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. I am not a big Facebooker (is that a word?) but felt like it might be a good way to ask friends and family to support this great cause. I'll do my cycling at the YMCA in Platte City. You can make a fixed pledge or by the mile. In July I completed 134 miles and in August I did 98. For September, I have the lofty goal of completing 200 miles, we shall see! I've got my oldest son cycling with me periodically and he's a pretty good motivator. Most of us have been touched by cancer one way or another and I feel like this is one small way to play a part in the cure. Please share!"
